SCI 2017 National Conference

Western Michigan University’s School of Music is thrilled to announce that we will host the SCI National Conference in 2017. This year’s featured guest ensembles include Ensemble Dal Niente, Spektral Quartet, SPLICE Ensemble, Coalescence Percussion Duo, and Duo Furioso

Applicants’ submissions will also be considered for performances by the School’s two University Bands (conducted by Scott Boerma and David Montgomery), three distinct Choirs (conducted by Kimberly Dunn Adams and De Gauthier), the Western Winds (conducted by Scott Boerma), the Kalamazoo Laptop Orchestra (under the direction of David Code), Advanced Jazz Combo (directed by Andrew Rathbun), Birds on a Wire (under the direction of David Colson), Percussion Quartet (led by Judy Moonert), Trombone Choir (conducted by Steve Wolfinbarger), and additional chamber groups and solo performers - including faculty performers Igor Fedotov (viola) and Robert White (trumpet). Submissions for composer-provided performers, installation works, and papers also encouraged.

The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2016.
